PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Approximately 39 years of experience as an attorney (including 24 years as a partner/shareholder of a large Corpus Christi, Texas law firm). During such time period, significant and comprehensive legal experience was obtained while performing legal services involving diverse legal issues and transactions ranging from the organization or purchase of small closely held businesses and the purchase or sale of individual parcels of real estate to the purchase, sale or financing of large businesses and real estate ventures.

A new independent law firm was opened on April 1, 1994 to provide personalized, prompt, cost effective and quality legal services. Clients have the benefit of the legal expertise obtained from the twenty-four years of prior affiliation with a large law firm, combined with the type of prompt and personalized attention that can best be obtained from a smaller firm.


EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

B.A., University of Texas at Austin, 1967; J.D., Southern Methodist University School of Law, 1970; Member, Editorial Board, Southwestern Law Journal, 1969-70; Member, Order of the Coif (top 5% of law class); also completed eighteen hours of M.B.A. graduate business courses at Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi. Author of articles on legal topics published in University of Houston Law Journal, International Business Lawyer and Coastal Bend Medicine. Seminar lecturer, "Landlord and Tenant Law in Texas" (presented in Corpus Christi, Texas, May 2001).

Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. Board Certified in Commercial Real Estate Law, Texas Board of Legal Specialization, State Bar of Texas. Also admitted to practice before U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas.
